How to make it

  • Heat butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add orzo, and cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Stir in broth and water; bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat, and simmer until liquid is absorbed and orzo is done (about 15 minutes).
  • Remove from heat; stir in cheese, basil, salt, and pepper.
  • Sprinkle with the pine nuts.
  • Serve immediately.

    do the pine nuts make too big of a difference? it's the only thing i don't have and i want to make this tonight.

    Sounds tasty, and not too difficult - love the flavor combination...I've never made orzo at home, but I will be trying it now!

    Love those little orzo noodles, I put them in my veggie soup. Going to give this recipe a try, it sounds good. Great post, thanks.
