Lemon Pound Cake Recipe
This is an excellent pound cake recipe that will please all taste buds. Easy to do. Great to give as a gift!

Ingredients
  • 1 8 oz. package of cream cheese (softened)
  • 3 sticks of margarine (softened)
  • 3 C. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 C. sifted cake flour
  • 2 t. pure lemon extract
  • 1 t. pure vanilla extract

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. In an electric mixer, cream together the cream cheese, margarine and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  4. Continue beating and add the flour one cup at a time.
  5. Scrape down sides of the bowl to incorporate all of the flour.
  6. Add both lemon and vanilla extracts.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.
  9. Bake at 300 degrees for 90 minutes
  10. Check the cake with a toothpick or cake tester inserted into cake.... make sure it comes out clean then you know cake is done!
  11. Let cake cool in pan for 10-15 minutes before removing.
  12. Enjoy!
