Lemon Pound Cake

- 1 8 oz. package of cream cheese (softened) shopping list
- 3 sticks of margarine (softened) shopping list
- 3 C. sugar shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 3 C. sifted cake flour shopping list
- 2 t. pure lemon extract shopping list
- 1 t. pure vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- In an electric mixer, cream together the cream cheese, margarine and sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Continue beating and add the flour one cup at a time.
- Scrape down sides of the bowl to incorporate all of the flour.
- Add both lemon and vanilla extracts.
- Mix well.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 90 minutes
- Check the cake with a toothpick or cake tester inserted into cake.... make sure it comes out clean then you know cake is done!
- Let cake cool in pan for 10-15 minutes before removing.
- Enjoy!
