Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat oil in large saucepan; cook onion till softened (about 5 min), add garlic, cook one min more, stir in spiced, cook till fragrant
  • add chickpeas, tomato, raisins, and extra oil (or oil/ H2O combo); stir until combined and heated through
  • add penne to separate pot of boiling water and cook as directed for al dente, drain
  • combine penne and sauce in large bowl; sprinkle with nuts and basil
  • enjoy!

    No, but I think something like a Navy bean would be too buttery. You could replace it with chicken (seasoned w/ s&p only). Enjoy!

    This sounds so yummy! Would it make much difference if I left out or substituted the chickpeas for something else? I love beans of all kinds just not chickpeas.Thanks for the post!
