Ingredients
  • 12 oz plain flour
  • 11 oz caster sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 oz whole almonds
  • 4 oz ground almonds
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions
  1. mix all ingredients to a soft dough
  2. roll into sausage shapes 1" round
  3. bake @ 180c till golden
  4. remove from oven and cool slightly
  5. while still warm slice at an angle with a serrated knife about 1cm thick
  6. replace on tray and bake again until crisp and golden
  7. cool on wire rack
  8. when cool store in air tight container

Try dipping these biccys in "Baumes de Venice" a dessert wine of about 18% alc, lovely
