Ingredients
  • Cut apples in Dish (no quantity was given. I just fill up the pan)
  • add 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon cinnamon over apples
  • (for variation on the water use cider or apple juice)
  • mix until crumbly:
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter

Directions
  1. Bake 1 hour @ 350
  2. for 9 x 13 pan double crumb
  3. (variation on crumb you can add some oatmeal I use this for topping on my pies as well it is so simple and so good. i had made a cranberry apple pear pie one thanksgiving and used this crumb top with oatmeal....delicious)
  4. This is one of my favorite recipes.

This recipe looks so simple that even I can make it (I think). I have never been able to make a desert that really turned out right. Guess I am brian dead as far as sweet things go. Saving this one and the oatmeal sounds great.
