Mini Chocolate Tartlets

- 1 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 75 grams butter shopping list
- 15 grams(1tbsp) sugar shopping list
- about 3 tbsp water shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 100 grams soft full-fat cheese shopping list
- 25 grams sugar shopping list
- 1 small egg,lightly beaten shopping list
- 50 grams dark chocolate shopping list
- To decorate shopping list
- 1/3 cup heavy cream shopping list
- chocolate curls shopping list
- cocoa powder,for dusting shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 F,position oven rack in center.
- Crust:
- Sieve the flour in a bowl.Cut in the butter in small pieces and rub in with your fingers till it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Stir in the sugar.Add enough water to mix a soft dough,then cover and chill 15 minutes.
- Roll out pastry on a lightly floured surface and use to line 18 mini tartlet pans.Prick the bases with a toothpick.
- Filling:
- Beat together the cheese and the sugar.Beat in the egg for 1 minute.
- Melt the chocolate and beat it into the mixture.Spoon in the pastry cases.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes till the filling is set and the pastry is crisp to the touch.Cool.
- Decoration:
- Whip the cream till stiff peaks,place it in a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.Pip rosettes on top of each tartlet and dust with cocoa or chocolate curls.Chill
