I LOVE THIS, LOVE THIS, LOVE THIS. I FOUND THIS RECIPE IN THE EARLY 80'S SITTING IN MY DOCTORS OFFICE. I THINK I FOUND IT IN A MAGAZINE IT WAS A SMALL LITTLE TIDBIT. SINCE THEN THERE IS SO MANY VERSIONS OF THIS. IT IS TRULY DELICIOUS. YOU CAN H... More

Ingredients
- 2 SLICES OF BREAD
- 2 EGGS BEATEN WITH SOME MILK
- CREAM CHEESE, ROOM TEMP OR NUK IT A FEW SECONDS
- PRESERVES, I USUALLY USE STRAWBERRY, USE WHAT YOU LIKE.
- CONFECTIONERS SUGAR
Directions
- ON THE BREAD
- SPREAD SOME CREAM CHEESE, HOW MUCH YOU LIKE (REMEMBER IT GETS SOFT AS IT COOKS)
- ADD YOUR FAVORITE JAM/PRESERVES.
- TOP WITH OTHER SANDWICH, TO MAKE A SANDWICH.
- DIP THE ENTIRE SANDWICH IN EGG MILK MIXTURE
- PLACE IN HOT FRY PAN, I ALWAYS USE VEGGIE OIL, AS MUCH AS I LOVE BUTTER,, WHEN I DO FRENCH TOAST I LIKE THE CRISPINESS THE OIL GIVES THE FRENCH TOAST.
- FRY ONE SIDE UNTIL NICELY TOASTED, THEN FLIP, FRY THE OTHER SIDE.
- REMOVE AND PLACE ON PLATTER, CUT DIAGNOLLY
- SPRINKLE CONFECTIONERS SUGAR ON TOP...THIS MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE TOO!
- ENJOY!

- i SAW PAULA DEEN MAKE THESE.
- THEY WERE THE SAME AS MINE BUT ONLY DIFFERENCE IS
- SHE USED PEANUTBUTTER ON THE SANDWICH
- CUT UP A BANANNA
- POURED ON SOME HONEY
- DIPPED IN EGG/MILK MIX
- FRY
- WHEN REMOVING IT DIP INTO A CINNAMON SUGAR MIX YOU MAKE UP....I LOVE THIS

It was wonderful. I have to tell you, I knew I couldn't eat the whole thing, so I made one piece of french toast and put on the cream cheese and used some frozen strawberries (thawed)(I'm not a real jam in recipes lovin' girl). I didn't sugar the berries, it would have made it even better.
