Divine Divan Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

3 Cups Turkey Chunks

1 Cup long grain White Rice (can use half wild rice if you like)

2 Cups Chicken Broth for cooking Rice

2 (10 oz) Packages frozen Broccoli pieces (thawed) (Can use fresh broccoli , steamed first, if you like.)

SAUCE INGREDIENTS:

1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup

1 Can sliced Mushrooms (Can use fresh and saute first)

1/3 Cup Milk

2 Tablespoons Sherry

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon fine herbs (use your favorite)

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

1 Medium Onion, Chopped

1/4 Cup Green Pepper, Chopped

2 Tablespoons Butter

1 Cup Cheddar Cheese, Grated

TOPPING: 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese

Directions

Preheat oven at 350 degrees.

Cook rice in broth. Arrange layers of cooked rice, turkey, broccoli.

Make sauce by cooking together soup, mushrooms, milk, sherry, and seasonings.

Saute onion & green pepper in butter and add to hot sauce.

Add cheddar cheese to sauce.

Stir until Cheese melts.

Pour sauce over layered ingredients and sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese.

Cover and bake for 45 minutes.

Remove cover and bake another 15 minutes.

This one is very different from the one I tried this Christmas with the left over Turkey, I had found it here too. Will save this one for next year.
