How to make it

  • For the Meatballs: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the egg, bread crumbs, 1/4 c. onion, worcestire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic, and ground beef. Form into 1 inch balls and place on the baking sheet.
  • Bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
  • For the sauce: In a large pot, pour the reserved pineapple juice, water, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch. Stir until smooth.
  • Cook over medium heat till thick and clear, stirring constantly.
  • Add the meatballs, onion, pepper, carrots, pineapple, and cherries.
  • Simmer over low heat, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
  • Serve over hot cooked rice.

    Hi Ali, I sure hope you still check in here because I just finished making these fabulous meatballs & I would like to tell you that this recipe is incredible. Just the meatballs alone taste delicious & anytime I make meatballs for any meal, this will be the recipe I will use. The recipe made 64 small meatballs. We have a potluck at work next week & I will be making up another batch to take with me & I'm sure everyone will want the recipe. Thank you for this great recipe.
