Hot Clam Chowder Dip Recipe
I first had this dip at a party the year John and I were married...that goes back somewhere into the dark ages, but it has survived the test of time! I actually won an appetizer contest with this when we lived in NE.

Ingredients
  • 1 (10 ounce) can condensed good quality New England Clam Chowder
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • ΒΌ cup finely diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt or powder
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar

Directions
  1. Put all ingredients, except cheddar cheese, into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into well-buttered small casserole.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  4. Top dip with the cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake an additional 15 minutes, until bubbly and hot, and cheese is melted.
  6. Serve with Fritos, chips or fresh cubed French bread.
