How to make it

  • In a medium pot, slowly heat chicken broth and cornstarch. Stir constantly until thickened.
  • Pour beaten egg into soup and stir in order to break up egg.
  • Remove soup from heat immediately, divide into four portions and garnish with green onions.

    I will pass that tip on to my family. I don't like the taste of soy sauce, so I wouldn't add it before serving it. But I'm sure they could add it after and they would enjoy it.

    My husband used to cook at a Chinese restaurant, and I think the only thing you're missing is soy sauce. And stir slowly as you slowly pour the egg so that it keeps a certain form. You know what I mean. Lovely none the less. Wonderful when you have a cold; add some ginger and garlic for a boost.

    Now this sounds easy and tasty, the two most important criteria for me. I may try this tonight if I have the chicken broth. Thanks for posting.
