I'm not really sure if this is the traditional way of making this, but the results are pretty good. My family loves eggdrop soup, so we make this often!

Ingredients
  • 2 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion

Directions
  1. In a medium pot, slowly heat chicken broth and cornstarch. Stir constantly until thickened.
  2. Pour beaten egg into soup and stir in order to break up egg.
  3. Remove soup from heat immediately, divide into four portions and garnish with green onions.

Quick easy and simple! love it!


My husband used to cook at a Chinese restaurant, and I think the only thing you're missing is soy sauce. And stir slowly as you slowly pour the egg so that it keeps a certain form. You know what I mean. Lovely none the less. Wonderful when you have a cold; add some ginger and garlic for a boost.
