Kays Lazy Chocolate Cake

This is from my Mom's Kansas Womens' club cookbook. Always a favorite!!!!
Ingredients
- 1 egg shopping list
- ½ C cocoa shopping list
- 1 C sugar shopping list
- ½ C melted shortening shopping list
- ½ C sour milk (or add 1/2 Tbl cider vinegar to ½ C milk) shopping list
- 1 ½ c flour sifted with: shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. soda shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Put everything in bowl and then beat together until smooth
- Then add ½ Cup of boiling water and beat smooth
- Bake in loaf pan or square pan (8 x 8 or 9 x 9 ) until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean around 25 or 30 minutes
- Cool completely, frost with your favorite flavor frosting
