Perfect Chocolate Cake

Wonderful moist chocolate cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 3/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 3/4 cup cocoa shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
- 2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 cup boiling water shopping list
How to make it
- Heat over to 350 degrees, grease and flour pans
- combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- add eggs milk, oil, and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes
- stir in boiling water (batter will be very thin!).
- pour into prepared cake pan.
- bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
- cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack. cool completely
- .
- frost with perfect chocolate frosting (I have it listed)

So glad you posted! This is one of the first cakes I ever made, from a cookbook my Mom had of a local cooking celebrity in the early 70's (telling my age!). It was called chocolate wet cake...and it's sooo good. THANKS for posting, I had forgotten ...more
