Pumpkin Cookies

- 2-1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 3 tablespoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 cup shortening shopping list
- 3/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed shopping list
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups cooked pumpkin shopping list
- 1 cup chopped nutmeats shopping list
- 1 cup chopped dates shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger shopping list
- 2/3 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 2/3 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract shopping list
How to make it
- Sift flour and measure and sift again with baking powder, salt and spices.
- Cream shortening and sugar adding eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
- Add pumpkin and flavorings beating well.
- Add nutmeats and dates.
- Slowly add flour mixing well after each addition.
- Drop by teaspoon onto well greased baking sheet.
- Bake in moderate oven until lightly browned.
