How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 355F.
  • Melt the chocolates and butter and margarine in a bain-marie, cool slightly.
  • Whisk together cornstarch and cold water until smooth.
  • Add the applesauce, honey, cornstarch slurry and vanilla.
  • Separately, sift the flours, baking powder and salt.
  • Stir into the liquid ingredients.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until set.
  • Let the brownies cool in the pans.

    JJB, these sound very good. Just this past year I started buying local honey, and I can't believe the difference in tastes, qualitites, etc. And, I have just the right honey here to try these..
