Grandpas Cabbage Soup

- 1- package of carrots (peeled & cut, either long or short) shopping list
- 5-6 lg. potatoes (peeled & cut into 4's) shopping list
- 2-packages of low fat kielbasa (Cut into 4's) shopping list
- 1/2-3/4- head of cabbage (cut in half and separated) shopping list
- 4- cans campbells tomato soup shopping list
- sm. fatty ham (whole) shopping list
- optional- 1/4 package celery (cut and washed) shopping list
- optional- 1/2 yellow onion (chopped) shopping list
- Make sure to wash all veggies before placing into pot. shopping list
How to make it
- In a large pot pour in 2 cans of tomato soup, save the cans.
- Use the 2 empty cans to fill with water and add to pot.
- Add cut potatoes (DO NOT cut too small or they will "disappear" during cooking)
- Add cut carrots
- Add can of tomato soup and use can to add water
- Add cut kielbasa
- Add ham and cabbage, make sure these are last in the pot, as they take the shortest to cook
- Add final can of tomato soup and also water. If while resting it looks too thick add water to thin to taste.
- Optional ingedients may be added between the kielbasa and cabbage
- Cook over low heat for 4 hours with final hour on medium heat or a medium heat for 2 hours with final 1/2 hour on high heat. All while stirring occasionally.
- May be served with sliced Italian bread.
