Ingredients
  • 6 slices of Bacon
  • 2 c water
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 c regular rice; uncooked
  • 3 c shrimp; peeled, deveined and wash
  • 2 t worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T all-purpose flour
  • ¾ c celery; chopped
  • ¼ c green pepper; chopped
  • 3 T butter or margarine
  • 1 t salt
  • ½ t pepper

Directions
  1. Fry bacon in large skillet until crisp.
  2. Drain bacon; reserving 3 tablespoons drippings.
  3. Crumble bacon, and set aside.
  4. Combine water, salt, and drippings in a large saucepan.
  5. Bring to a boil; stir in rice.
  6. Reduce heat; cover and cook 20 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle shrimp with Worcestershire sauce; dredge in flour.
  8. Saute shrimp, celery, and green pepper in butter for 3 minutes.
  9. Cover and cook 2 minutes.
  10. Remove from heat, and stir into rice.
  11. Add salt, pepper, and reserved bacon, stirring well.
  12. Serve hot..
