  • 1 SAUTÉ garlic and onion. Add the rest of the ingredients. Season with 1 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1 tbsp iodized rock salt). Simmer for about 12 minutes or until ubod is tender.

    Maybe its the coconut bud? I have no idea what it is either. And if it is a coconut bud, I don't think that I can get it in my local market. Andah, could you please let us know what the ubon niyog is? Thank you so much!

    ubod means the young crisp tender part inside of the coconut trunk.
    niyog means coconut.
