Pear Cake With Sour Cream Topping

- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 tsp grated lemon peel shopping list
- 1-3/4 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1 can (29 ounces) pears, drained shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1 cup (8ounces) sour cream shopping list
- 2 tbsp brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tbsp grated lemon peel shopping list
How to make it
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and lemon peel; mix well.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternatley with milk.
- Beat well.
- Spread batter into a greased 13 in. x 9 in. x 2 in. baking pan.
- Slice pear halves and arrange in rows on top of batter.
- Mix topping ingredients until smooth; spread over pears.
- Bake at 350* for 30-35 minutes or until cake tests donw.
