All Is Well Slow Cooked Ribs With Sauerkraut Recipe
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Buckley Estate in Fate, Texas in 1996.

Ingredients
  • 3 pounds lean pork spareribs cut in serving pieces
  • 1 glass jar sauerkraut with caraway seed
  • 1/2 head cabbage grated
  • 1 large onion sliced thin
  • 1 granny smith apple cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup light white wine

Directions
  1. Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper and brown under broiler.
  2. Put alternating layers of meat, sauerkraut, cabbage, onion and apple in slow cooker.
  3. Mix water and wine and pour over ribs.
  4. Cook on low for 10 hours.

YOU KNOW IVE NEVER HAD PORK AND SAUERKRAUT TILL I MOVED TO OHIO WE COOKED POLISH SAUSAGE WITH IT ...BUT MOSTLY IM FROM WEST AND SOUTH AND THEY FIX BLACKEYED PEAS AND CORNBREAD FOR NEW YEARS DAY
