Chili Mac

- 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni (3 1/2 ounces) shopping list
- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup) shopping list
- 1 small green bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup) shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 can (15 to 16 ounces) kidney beans, drained shopping list
- 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained shopping list
- 1 can (11 ounces) whole kernel corn, drained shopping list
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste shopping list
- 1 T chili powder shopping list
- 1 t. ground cumin shopping list
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4 ounces) shopping list
How to make it
- Cook the macaroni as indicated on the package
- While the macaroni is cooking, cook beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic in a dutch oven over medium-high heat, (or large electric skillet, medium-high heat), stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain.
- Drain macaroni. Stir macaroni and remaining ingredients except cheese into beef mixture. Heat to boiling stirring occasionally; reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot. Sprinkle with cheese.
