Strawberry Salad In Puff Pastry Shells Recipe

Ingredients

1 Quart strawberries, hulled and quartered

3 T. sugar

1 t. balsamic vinegar

1 T. finely minced tarragon or mint + more for garnish

1 package frozen puff pastry shells

1 T. milk

2 T. Strawberry jam

Directions

In a bowl, stir strawberries, 2 Tablespoons sugar, balsamic vinegar and tarragon. Refrigerate 1 hour.

Heat oven to 400 degrees. *Brush tops of pastry shells with milk, sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake 22 min. Remove from oven and remove tops, set aside.

Return shells to oven for additional 2 minutes. Remove from oven and brush inside of shells with strawberry jam. Spoon 1/2 cup strawberry salad into each shell. Rest top on the side and garnish with tarragon or mint sprigs and serve. Makes 6 servings =D
