A fruity, creamy custard with a streusel topping. This is a 1973 Pillsbury Bake-off winner's recipe. great with ice cream.

Ingredients
  • FRUIT
  • 15 1/4 oz.can sliced pears, drained
  • 15 1/4 oz. can sliced peaches, drained
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • TOPPING
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp.nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup(1/2 stick) unsalted butter,softened

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
  2. Arrange the drained fruit in an ungreased 8-inch square or 7"x11" glass baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl ,beat eggs with a wire whish until blended.
  4. Beat in 1/4 cup flour,1/4 cup sugar,1 cup sour cream, and 1 tsp. vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour over fruit.
  6. In the same bowl, mix all the topping ingredients until crumbly.
  7. Sprinkle over fruit mixture.
  8. Bake 30 to 40 minutes,or until topping is gloden brown and center is set.
  9. Cool at least 15 minutes;serve warm.
  10. Store custard in refrigerator.
