Almond Fudge

- 3 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped toasted almonds shopping list
How to make it
- In heavy saucepan combine sugar, milk, corn syrup and salt.
- Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Cook without stirring to soft ball stage the remove from heat and add butter.
- Do not stir.
- Cool without stirring.
- Add vanilla and almond extract.
- Beat vigorously until fudge stiffens and begins to lose its gloss.
- Quickly stir in almonds.
- Pour into buttered square pan.
- Cool completely and cut into squares.
