Our family's favorite cookie recipe, made by my dad! You wont want o share these cinnamony bites of goodness

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks softened butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 +1/2 tsp. vanila extract
  • 1 +1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 + 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 +2/3 cups (10 oz) cinnamon chips
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Icing ingredients
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Spray cookie sheets with butter flavored pam. (or other cooking spray)
  3. In large bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla, beat well.
  5. In a seperate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and cinnamon.
  6. Mix in oats, raisins and cinnamon chips.
  7. Combine bowls, until mixed together.
  8. Spoon onto cookie sheets.
  9. Bake 15-17 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  10. Remove to wire rack to let cool.
  11. Mix all icing ingredients and ice when almost cool. Add more sugar or milk to tweak consistency
