Grandmas Seasoning Salt Recipe

Grandmas Seasoning Salt Recipe
I prefer everything as fresh as possible, and I hate the prices on premixed stuff. Therefore I came up with this using the label on the back of another bottle of seasoning salt. Altered to our tastes, and we are happy!

Ingredients
  • 15 parts Sea Salt, optional
  • 10 parts sugar
  • 5 parts paprika
  • 2 parts garlic powder
  • 2 parts onion powder
  • 1 parts turmeric

Directions
  1. If you use an 1/8 of a cup and a good sized jar to measure this in it works great.
  2. Combine all ingredients; mix well.
  3. Store in an airtight container.
  4. -
  5. Notes: if you use onion salt and garlic salt, omit sea salt.
  6. -
  7. If you want to take the time you can dry out the onion and garlic yourself and powder them. It is so much better then the store bought pre powdered stuff.

This looks good, does it taste like Lawrys? I want to make my own too. We bought an organic seasoned salt and we don't care for it.

I agree, fresh made is better.....Thanks
