Cheese Beer Spread Recipe
Nice cheese spread served in the cheese shell withsmall rye bread or crackers Have been makking this for 40 years.

Ingredients
  • 1 small edam or gouda cheee round,room temp.
  • 1/4 lb unsalted butter ,room temp.,cubed
  • 3/4 c beer
  • 1/2 t. worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2t dry mustard
  • 1T. grated onion
  • Rye Bread Rounds

Directions
  1. Cut a 2" circle from top of cheese,reserve. Scoop out inside of cheese,leaving a shell 1/4" thick
  2. Combine the cheese and the butter in a blender and blend on high speed till smooth.
  3. Gradually add beer,adding just enough for spreadable mix. mix in mustard and onions. Stuff cheese shell with mix. Cover with top and chill.
  4. Note: Use enough beer to make soft spreadable chees
