Meatloaf Recipe
I've played around with several meatloaf recipes, but this one is my favorite.

Ingredients
  • 2lbs lean ground beef
  • 1/2c italian bread crumbs
  • 1 8oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 envelope lipton beefy onion soup mix
  • 8-10 shakes worshtishire sauce
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1/4c. milk
  • salt and pepper

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place meat in large mixing bowl
  3. Add in all other ingredients
  4. Mix well using hands or I like to use a potato masher
  5. Shape into loaf and place in loaf pan or roaster
  6. Bake covered for 25 minutes
  7. Uncover and continue cooking 25-30 min.
  8. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing

Meatloaf is one of those good comfort foods. We just had it the other night.


Meatloaf is my comfort food, and I love it with mashed potatoes! Love meatloaf recipes!


I have to make this.. with mashed potatoes and gravy... then left overs for sandwiches! Yummmmy


Sounds like a winner to me...i don't like meatloaf made with catsup!

Alterations


I used tomato soup instead of paste and cracker crumbs in stead of bread crumbs only because it was what I had on hand. I added some mixed Italian spices to the crumbs and during the last 25 minutes of cooking I put cheese slices on top which melted.it was so good my hubby had thirds and the little kids had seconds !!!
