Moms Cheesecake Cookies Recipe

This is a recipe that I got from my late Mother-in-laws' collection.. I have not tried to make it myself but since it's the holiday season I thought I would post it.. I've made quite a few of her recipes and they have all been good..

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1 nuts finely chopped, your choice of kinds, (walnuts or pecans are good)
- 2 cups flour
- 2/3 cups melted butter
- filling:
- 2 8oz cream cheese ( 1 lb )
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 TBSP. milk
- 2 teasp. vanilla
- 2 TBSP. lemon juice
Directions
- crust:
- mix brown sugar, nuts , and flour in large bowl
- add butter. mix by hand until light and crumbly
- take 1 cup out for the topping
- press remaining mixture into a lightly greased 9 x 13 pan
- bake at 350' for 12-15 mins
- filling:
- beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Beat eggs, milk, vanilla, and lemon juice
- fold egg mixture into the cheese mixture
- pour cheese mixture onto the crust. top with the remaining cup of crust mixture
- bake 350' for 25 mins
- cool. cut into small squares and store in the refrigerator
