Ingredients
  • 4 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • Juice from 4 lemons
  • 1 tbsp of salt (15ml)
  • 1/2 cup of plain yogurt (125ml)
  • 3 tbsp of ground almonds (15ml)
  • 1 tbsp of freshly grated ginger (15ml)
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tsp of paprika (15ml)
  • 2 tsp of garam masala (10ml)
  • 1 tsp of turmeric (5ml)
  • 1/2 tsp of freshly ground pepper (2.5ml)
  • 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper (2.5ml)
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Directions
  1. Combine chicken lemon juice and salt in a large bowl and toss until the chicken is well coated. Place the chicken and the remaining liquid into a large plastic bag.
  2. In another bowl, combine yogurt, almonds, ginger, garlic, paprika, garam masala, turmeric, pepper & cayenne.
  3. Mix well and pour over the chicken. Toss and coat the chicken in the mixture.
  4. Close the bag and place it in the fridge to marinate for 4 hours up to overnight.
  5. Remove the chicken from the refrigerator ½ hour prior to cooking time. Leave it to come to room temperature.
  6. Preheat the grill to medium high heat. Oil the grill grate and then place the chicken on.
  7. Cook for 7-8 minutes per side.

Sounds great but they have decided that we can't grill here in our apts. anymore!!!!!!!!!!!! Am keeping in case we move somewhere where we can.

Made this recipe, and it was delicious. Will be making this one again. I did however make it with half the chicken to make it more of a wet dish. I will try the BBQ version when we have a BBQ again.


This looks really good. Do you think it will work with Salmon?
