  3. A little tumeric
  4. A little ground chili pepper powder
  5. Some salts (i used salt + MSG)
  6. Hot sauce
  7. Basil leaves

  9. Brown the onion and garlic.
  10. Add the chicken
  11. Lay out a sheet of the puff pastry flat on some wax paper or saran wrap.
  12. Layer it with the chicken mix first, then spinach leaves, then cheese.
  13. Beat an egg up, and brush it on all 4 edges.
  14. Take one side and fold it over, pressing the edges every inch or so to seal.
  15. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until evenly cooked and golden brown.

Hi! I can't believe nobody ever noticed this recipe!! The only thing I don't have is the pastry sheet, but I was wondering if I could do some bisquick dough in its place? I was looking for a recipe kind of like a hot pocket, but where I can control the ingredients, sodium, fat content, etc. I had a sample of this chicken stuffed bread at Costco, and I thought I could make it less than 550 calories w/ 22 grams of fat...ouch! Anyways, your recipe and pictures are wonderful! Have a happy 4th!

I really do think that bisquick woul be too heavy for this kind of result. But no harm in trying!

Thank you for posting this Pocket recipe, I have fresh basil and spinach and the rest of the ingredients, all I need is some dough for the crust then I will be able to make your Chicken Spinach And Cheese Pocket Sandwich. Those great photos will come in handy.
