How to make it

  • lightly grease an 8 inch square cake pan
  • break choc into pieces and place in a large saucepan with the butter
  • and condensed milk
  • heat gently stirring until the chocolate and butter melts and the mixture is smooth
  • do not allow to boil
  • remove the pan from the heat. beat in vanilla essence
  • beat the mixture for a few minutes until thickened
  • .pour into prepared pan level the top
  • chill in fridge until firm
  • tip the fudge out onto a cutting board cut into squares & serve

    I'm wondering if I can use canned coconut milk in replace of sweetened condensed milk, it makes me really sick. But this sounds so good, and I like the way you are using good quality (dark) chocolate here. You know I've never made fudge, I'm thinking if I make this, I'm going to add pistachios, what do you think?
