Ingredients

The following recipe is from Alison Kent and The Canadian Living Test Kitchen:

1-1/2 oz (40 ml) apple juice

1-1/2 oz (40 ml) vodka

1 oz (30 ml) sour apple schnapps or apple shnapps

Garnish:

1 thin half-round slice Granny Smith apple

1 ugly coloured gummi worm

Note: It is suggested for best flavour and colour, choose a sour apple liqueur (such as Sour Puss Sour Apple). If using a sweet schnapps (such as Berentzen Apflenkorn), add 1 Tbsp. (15ml) lime juice.

Directions

Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add apple juice, vodka and schnapps; shake vigorously to blend and chill. Strain into prepared glass.

Garnish:

With straw, poke a hole in the apple.

Thread gummi worm through hole.

Cut slit through apple and place it on the rim of a cocktail glass.
