How to make it

  • Mix butter and sugar to creamy stage.
  • Then slowly add the juice from one lemon and the grated rind and mix well.
  • In a large bowl, add the rest of the ingredients.
  • Fold the ingredients together.
  • Either roll into 3/4-inch balls or drop by a teaspoon onto a cookie
  • sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated 300° F oven for approximately 12 - 15 minutes.
  • Roll in powdered sugar while they are warm.
  • Store in tight covered cookie tins, or in a tight covered container
  • in the freezer.

    Makes me miss my Grandmother. She would send us the best boxes of goodies at Christmas time.
