Ingredients

1 lb raw beef or calves liver

2 garlic cloves, minced, or 1 t to 1 T already minced garlic from a jar

1 box corn muffin mix, such as Jiffy

1/2 c wheat germ (optional)

Directions

In blender or food processor mix liver and garlic until liquid.

Add muffin mix and wheat germ and mix well.

Dump onto a cookie sheet (I cover the sheet with aluminum foil) and pat to 1/2" to 1" thickness.

Bake in 350 oven until very firm but not burned.

Cool and cut into squares. (Fend off eager dog who is dancing around the kitchen in joy!)

Store in refrigerator.

May be frozen.

In the recipe photographed I used 1.25 lb chicken livers and two boxes of Jiffy corn mix.

Your little pincher is so adorable, I had one for a day who came and visited me while one summer I was cleaning up the house on a summer day and had the door open, well in came this cute little Pincher. I shut the door because I wanted to play with him awhile - I know bad, but he kept looking out the window it was so sad, so we went out looking for his parents and i found out they were at work and so I got him for the rest of the day until they came home. They are the sweetest dogs.
