How to make it

  • Wash and core the tomatoes.
  • cut in at least 1/2 thick slices.
  • Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper
  • Dredge in flour
  • Fry in bacon drippings, turning once until crispy on each side.
  • Serve with bacon slices, cheese grits and sit on the porch and enjoy your leisurely morning.
