Spaghetti Sauce Recipe
This is the best sauce I've found. Sometimes I take the sausage out of the casings and brown it like ground beef but most of the time I leave it in the link form. Serve with warm Italian bread and red wine.

Ingredients
  • 1 2 lb. can tomatoes
  • 1 small onion, cut in eighths
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, cut in 1" pieces
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 7 oz. Traditional flavor Ragu sauce
  • 1 & 1/2 lbs. mild Italian sausage
  • cooked spaghetti
  • grated parmesan cheese

Directions
  1. Put first nine ingredients into blender container.
  2. Cover and process for two cycles.
  3. Pour into large sauce pan.
  4. Add bay leaves, tomato sauce and Ragu.
  5. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes, semi covered.
  6. While the sauce is simmering, brown the sausage in a large frying pan.
  7. Cut the sausage into bite size pieces and add to sauce.
  8. Simmer for one hour, semi covered.
  9. Remove bay leaves.
  10. Serve over spaghetti with parmesean cheese.
