How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Butter a baking dish.
  • Prep veggies and fruit.
  • Melt butter with sugar, tarragon and orange juice add this to the fruit and parsnips.
  • Stir well to coat.
  • Pile into baking dish, bake covered 30 minutes.
  • Stir ocassionally.
  • Uncover and bake another 15 minutes longer to glaze the vegetables.
  • Baste with juices and serve.

    Made it with the wrong kind of apples, don't use a fuji, they were too mushy. Stick to a firm cooking apple, much better. Tried honey instead of brown sugar and it didn't carmelize nicely. I suggest using the brown sugar, it won't be so "wet". Live and learn. Still tasted good, left something to be desired on texture.

    Oh notcho, you and I would fight who got the last bite of this, wouldn't we?!? I'm goofing off at work this morning, and I'm so glad I did or I may have missed this one...definitely have to give this one a go - love ALL the flavors!
