Mashed Potatoes with Buttermilk and Dill

- 2 pounds russet potatoes peeled and cubed shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup low-fat milk shopping list
- 3/4 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 2 tsp finely chopped dill shopping list
- 1 tsp thinly sliced chives shopping list
- Freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- In a large saucepan, combine the potatoes, 1 tsp salt, and enough cold water to cover.
- Bring to a boil over high heat
- lower the heat to maintain a simmer and cook until fork tender, about 10 minutes
- Drain the potatoes and return to the pan
- Mash the potatoes and stir in the milk and buttermilk and dill
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve
