Ingredients
  • 12 Brats
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • Beer

Directions
  1. Melt butter in Dutch oven.
  2. Add sliced onions.
  3. Sweat onions for 3 minutes.
  4. Add Brats.
  5. Add beer, enough to cover Brats.
  6. Bring to boil, turn down to simmer until Brats are cooked.
  7. Remove Brats from beer mixture.
  8. Place an gill until grilled golden brown.
  9. Return Brats to beer mixture until ready to serve.
  10. Serve with sauerkraut or onions and peppers on Brat buns.
