Jager Schnitzel w Gravy
From nml 16 years agoIngredients
- 4 pieces pork cutlets (tenderized if you prefer) shopping list
- Italian-Style breadcrumbs shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- oil to fry shopping list
- seasonings to personal taste shopping list
- For Gravy: shopping list
- 1 pkg. maple flavored bacon (cooked and crumbled:prep) shopping list
- 1 heaping Tbsp. tomato paste shopping list
- sliced mushrooms (crumbled into small chunks) shopping list
- 1/2 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. parsley shopping list
How to make it
- Rub seasoning into cutlets according to personal taste.
- In shallow dish beat eggs and then dip cutlets in.
- Bread dipped cutlets with breadcrumbs.
- Place cutlets in pan over medium heat with enough oil to coat bottom of cutlets.
- Brown until cooked through turning as needed.
- When done put onto dishes.
- For Gravy:
- While meat is browning, saute bacon, tomato paste, and mushrooms until warm over low heat. (we use a 3:2 ratio of bacon and mushrooms but put as much as you like in)
- Kick heat up a little and add wine, water, and seasonings stirring occassionally. (if you need to add more wine- go for it! - as long as it's heated for awhile the wine really brings out the gravys flavor)
- Remove from heat and spoon onto schnitzel. (sauce will be thick)
- Eat and Enjoy!
