From donman 16 years agoIngredients
- 3 lbs. ground chuck shopping list
- 1 pk of Wick Fowlers chili mix shopping list
- 3-8 oz. cans of tomato sauce shopping list
- 1-8 oz. can of water shopping list
- 1-10oz can of rotel Original tomatoes & green chilies shopping list
- 1-16 oz bottle of Original Tabasco chili Recipe shopping list
- 1-15 oz. can of Thrifty Maid Mexican Style chili beans shopping list
How to make it
- Use an 8 qt. stock pot.
- Brown 3 lbs. of ground chuck. Drain off the grease and put into the 8 qt. stock pot.
- Add 3-8 oz. cans of tomato sauce, 1-8 oz. cans of water and the 10oz can of Original RoTel Tomatoes & Green Chilies (undrained).
- Stir in all of the Wick Fowlers ingredients except for the “red pepper” and “masa”
- For false-alarm, leave out all of the red pepper. For 1-alarm, use ½ of the red pepper packet. For 2-alarm, use the entire red pepper packet.
- Cover pot and simmer for 30 minutes (or longer for a spicier flavor). Stir occasionally.
- Stir “masa” flower into ¼ cup of warm water to make a thick, but flow able mixture.
- Add the “masa” mixture, mix chili well then add the chili beans (undrained) and the bottle of Original Tabasco Chili Recipe. Mix well and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Note; If the chili is too thin, in ½ cup of warm water, mix in 2 tablespoons of corn starch, then add the mixture to the chili and mix well. Cook for 10 more minutes
- Serve over rice.
