It sounds strange to make wine from tea, but apparently this is quite delicious and doesn't taste like tea at all. I haven’t made this since I don’t drink but it was in my files.

I'm going to try this. I make my own wine...from a kit, but still alot of fun. It bubbles and smells up the entire house. Awesome! Thanks again for another great recipe. Renee

I am definately going to bite! You say simply to use cold tea - Would using flavoured herbal teas also work?

Tried this, and it did taste fantastic. It was actually quite sweet. The scum did make it into my batch, but only slightly. Be very careful when you break the surface pressure between the scum and the "tea". Excellent addition and the easiest wine to make. I would recommend this as a beginners introduction to homemade spirits. Thanks for the post! Oh, I'm going to try some oranges in my next batch... will let you know.
