- 1 Kg. mutton(cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces) shopping list
- 1 tsp whole black pepper shopping list
- 2 cinnamon sticks shopping list
- 2-3 black cardamoms shopping list
- 2 bay leaves shopping list
- 1 large onion,sliced shopping list
- 1/2 kg. tomatoes,chopped shopping list
- 6-7 green chillies shopping list
- 2 tbsp ginger and garlic paste shopping list
- 1 tsp red chilli powder shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
How to make it
- Place the mutton,black pepper,cinnamon,cardamom and bay leaves in a large pot.
- Add enough water to make the mutton tender.
- Cover and cook till mutton is tender.
- Heat oil in a shallow frying pan or karahi.
- Add onion,stirring constantly fry for 5 minutes or until soft.
- Add tomatoes,green chillies,ginger and garlic paste,red chilli powder,salt and mutton.
- While stirring frequently fry on high heat for few minutes,then reduce heat to medium.
- Cover and cook for 15 minutes until the oil begins to separate.
- Garnish with coriander leaves,diagonally cut green chillies and thin julienne's ginger.
- Serve hot with naan or chappati.
