Triple Good Bars

- 2 cups raisins shopping list
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- 1 Tbs grated lemon, rind of shopping list
- 1 Tbs lemon juice shopping list
- 1 cup butter or margarine shopping list
- 1 1/3 cups brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnut shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium saucepan, combine raisins, milk, lemon zest and lemon juice.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly; just until the mixture starts to bubble.
- Remove from heat.
- Cool slightly; set aside.
- Beat margarine, sugar& vanilla until smooth.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Spread half of the oat mixture into bottom of a greased 9x13 pan and press firmly.
- Spread raisin mixture over that to within 1/4 inch of sides.
- Crumble the rest of the oat mixture over raisin filling; press lightly.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 375F degrees or until golden brown.
- Cool and cut into bars.
