I just wanted to have my options open so I found this. I prefer to make my own everything anyway!

Ingredients
- 3 cups brown vinegar
- 1/2 cup treacle
- 1/2 cup plum jam
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
- Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour. Strain.

I am for anything made from scratch, fresh without preservatives! Which is the brown vinegar? Wine vinegar, balsamico or something else?

I think this recipe comes from Emeril Lagasse. It's awesome if it's the same one, I made this long ago and it was delicious!
