I found this recipe years ago, and have tweaked it over time. Without a doubt, this is the BEST cookie recipe ever. A friend made these to bribe the construction crew building her custom home. Her house got done in record time!

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1-1/2 cup raisins
  • 1-1/2 cup granola
  • 1 cup rolled oats (not instant)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chips
  • 1-2/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375. Toast walnuts on cookie sheet while oven is preheating, stirring occasionally, about 7 minutes or until light browned and fragrant. Cool.
  2. Mix raisins, granola, chocolate chips, white chips, and oats in a large bowl. Set aside.
  3. Sift or whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a small bowl. Add walnuts and set aside.
  4. Place brown and white sugars into a food processor bowl. Process until blended. Add butter in pats, process until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Process to combine. Add flour and walnut mixture. Pulse in until just incorporated. Scrape into bowl with granola mixture. Combine (easiest to mix with your hands)
  5. Shape dough into balls with your hands, using approximately two level tablespoon measure for each cookie. Place two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden. Cookies should be very soft but set around the edges.
  7. Cool on the cookie sheets a few minutes, until firm enough to move, then put on cooling racks to cool completely.

I made these today, but replaced the raisins with dried cranberries and the white chips with peanut butter chips! Excellent. The added photo is the "new" version.
