How to make it

  • Crumble sausage and cook thoroughly in skillet.
  • Drain fat from sausage and place sausage in the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish
  • Drain sauerkraut and place in a layer on top of sausage
  • Spread mashed potatoes over sauerkraut layer
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over potatoes
  • Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until warmed through.

    Mmmmmmm, sounds good to me. I would probably add sauted onion, celery and a handful of frozen and thawed green peas. But, I really like your recipe because it's quick and you have omitted extra work. Thank you for sharing ;-)
