This is a simple accompaniment to any oriental dish.

Ingredients
  • 400g cooked white rice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely sliced
  • 1 egg
  • 50g peas (garden peas or petit pois)
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce

Directions
  1. Heat the oil in the wok.
  2. Fry the spring onions and garlic for 40 seconds.
  3. Add the rice and stir-fry for two minutes.
  4. Splash the soy sauce over the rice.
  5. Pour the egg on top off the rice and mix well.
  6. Serve and enjoy.

We usually do have fried rice for breakfast if we have some left-overs from dinner the night before. but i usually use scrambled egg and salt. never tried breaking the egg directly into the rice.
