Lemon Ice Box Pie

This is my Grandmothers recipe for lemon ice box pie and it is fantastic!!! Even my Dad, who is not a sweets person, gets super excited when this is served!
Ingredients
- CRUST: 1 1/2 package of graham crackers (Nabisco) shopping list
- 1/4 stick of butter, softened shopping list
- FILLING: 1 can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk shopping list
- 2 egg yolks shopping list
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice shopping list
- TOP: 3 egg whites shopping list
- 1/4 tsp creme of tartar shopping list
- 6 Tbsp sugar shopping list
How to make it
- crush crackers fine in food processor
- add butter until crackers will hold together
- flatten crust into pie dish
- bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes
- let cool COMPLETELY
- Mix together ingredients from filling and pour into pie crust
- for the top, beat egg whites adding sugar a Tbsp at a time
- beat until stiff enough where they will form "peaks" and stand
- brown at 350 for about 15 minutes but WATCH CAREFULLY!
- CHILL well before serving
